I love DIY projects!

Recipes that support the immune system

There’s a sense of accomplishment that comes when you make things yourself – A visible reminder of what you can achieve.

When I have all my ducks in a row and accomplish projects that contribute to the good of my family, I get a small taste of what it must be like to be that Proverbs 31 woman.

Yes, that is what I aspire to. Most days I fail miserably, but those visible reminders tell me that, with God’s grace, I have succeeded in some way or another.

I’m so excited to share with you some recipes that support the immune system that I recently made!

Unfortunately, I forgot to take pics while we were making them. So I’ll put your creative minds to work and allow you to imagine it…. for now.

The first is an all-natural waterless hand purifier. I hate hand sanitizer for so many different reasons…. The fact that it kills off both the good and bad bacteria, the way it dries your hands out, etc. This hand purifier does none of that, while still purifying your hands and actually boosting your immune system!

Ingredients (includes affiliate links):
1/2 tsp Vitamin E Oil
1 Tbsp Witch Hazel
8 oz Aloe Vera
15 drops Thieves Essential Oil
5-10 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil

Directions:
Mix your essential oils into your Vitamin E Oil. Next mix in your Witch Hazel. Finally add the Aloe Vera and stir or shake until all combined. Use as you would any hand sanitizer.

Before we go on to the next recipe, I wanted to share with you a neat little story about Thieves Essential Oil that a friend shared with me.
There was this teacher who had a classroom right beside the chemistry lab. She loved to diffuse Thieves to help boost her immune system and those of her students throughout the year. Meanwhile, the chemistry students were trying to grow bacteria in their little petri dishes, but nothing grew. They finally realized that it was the Thieves that was hindering the growth of their science project!

With that in mind, the next recipe is for All-Natural Thieves Cleaning Wipes. I’ve been able to replace all of my bleach based, toxic cleaning wipes with these wipes and have had fantastic results. Another plus is that it’s just too easy to make.

Ingredients:
1 Roll Paper Towels (I like to use the Viva brand for this)
2 Cap-fulls of Thieves All-Purpose Household Cleaner
2 Cups Water

Directions:
Cut the paper towel in half with a sharp bread knife. Set one half aside for another time. Place the other half into a container with a lid and set aside. Mix the household cleaner into the water and pour over the paper towel roll that’s in the container. Use your hands to squish the solution into the paper towels until they are completely saturated. Remove the cardboard tube from the center. Use by pulling the towels from the center of the roll.

There you have it!

I hope you enjoy your new products, especially as we get into the school season!
