My Dear Reader,
So much has happened since I last wrote, that it’s hard to know where to start.
If you follow me over on Facebook or Instagram, you may have noticed some changes taking place. I’ve finally made the decision to become a Christian Life Coach for Moms!
Honestly, this is something I’ve wanted to do deep down in my heart for a long time. I love supporting and encouraging other moms who feel overwhelmed by the unending tasks of motherhood, and are searching for purpose in their lives.
A few years ago you may remember that I took a step back from everything that wasn’t necessary… Social media, children’s activities, business pursuits, etc. I focused on how God was acting in my life and how He was calling me to live my life.
In this time, I deepened my relationship with God, and focused on His will for my life. My husband and I had (and still do have) so many dreams and desires, but I learned how to give them to Him while I focused on the next right thing in each precious moment.
Through this process, He pointed me to people who could help guide me as I discovered more about who He created me to be. I learned the importance of loving and embracing myself – with all of my quirks and insecurities.
I had discovered so much peace during this time. It was a peace of knowing that God was going to take care of things even in the midst of uncertainty. God never promised that life would be easy and effortless, but He did promise that He would be with us. That’s what this peace is – deep-rooted and full of hope. It’s the peace that you feel in your heart.
This peace, through self-awareness and awareness of God, spilled over into the daily functions of my home. I started asking myself why I wanted certain routines, and what I was hoping to achieve through them. This allowed me to put in place routines and create habits that were aligned with the values we had for our family. Oh, we still have children bickering about each other and about doing their chores – I promise we are most definitely human. But there is now a peaceful rhythm to our life that helps keep our priorities in place, our home in order, and our children in line. It brings peace to our home.
While this isn’t the end of the story, it is the catalyst for what I do now with other moms who need a little extra support, accountability, and encouragement as they continue on in their journey through motherhood. I’m excited to continue to take you along for the ride as I help moms simplify their life and manage their minds so they can have peace in the present while staying grounded in Christ!
