A lesson in procrastination

by 1 Comment

So… We tend to like to procrastinate.

Hence we had to learn yet another lesson due to our procrastination.

I don’t know if you’ve heard or not, but we’re supposed to be getting Cicadas this year. Remember those fruit trees we just planted? Well, they need to be protected.

We kept talking about buying our bug netting to protect our precious trees, and then last week we almost bought the stuff. However, we kept finding excuses not to do so quite yet.

Well, the Cicadas are almost upon us and we still have no bug netting. Yesterday I went to a couple different local places to see if they had some in stock.

Guess what? They all were OUT! Yep. No more bug netting anywhere.

So tonight John decided to check and see if Lowe’s had some. Of course they didn’t, but they had something else:

You guessed it! It’s a roll of window screen.

You’re probably wondering how on earth we’re going to use it to protect our little trees, well so am I.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Hopefully we’ll get it on before the Cicadas come. If we don’t, our next post on how we used window screen in place of bug netting, will be replaced with how our procrastination led to disaster and destruction once again.

Do you have any lessons in procrastination? Or it is just us?

Until next time!

♥ Nicole
